Bobsled Racing

Bobsled racing is an exciting winter sport where racers zip down icy tracks, often at speeds over 90 mph. In this hands-on activity, created by Museum of Science in Boston, you will build mini bobsleds out of soap dishes and race them down rain gutters, learning about center of mass, gravity, friction and drag resistance. Discover Goodwill is hosting a Hiring Event at our beautiful Woodland Park Retail Center (located at the corner of Hwy 24 & Paradise Circle, across from Safeway on the North side of Hwy 24) next Tuesday, April 9th from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 6:00 p.m.  Work for an award-winning, life changing organization!

We are looking for:

Retail Generalist Associates - $11.60 Hr.
Donation Services Associates - $11.10 Hr.
Softlines (Textiles) Associates - $11.10 Hr.

Various full-time and part-time schedules may be available, including a weekday shift.  Most full-time positions require the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays.  Our Retail Center is open 7 days a week (9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays).  Candidates hired for full-time positions will be eligible for benefits after 60 days.

Nonprofit Leaders' Connect

Nonprofit leaders in Teller County get together for networking, training and a presentation. Training for this meeting is on how to develop a culture. The trainer is Angie Brown. Angie assisted a group in Colorado Springs, who put together a training program for a development team from a national organization. The training focused on how to establish a culture around your mission, AKA, building an Ambassador program. The Ambassador group, which she was instrumental in making successful, increased fundraising by 371% within its first two years. Angie is on the board of the Lion's Club in Woodland Park, she is a member of Teller Networking Team, Co-Owner of MIZAR Resources and worked for Nabisco as a Territory Manager for fourteen years before moving to Colorado. Angie specializes in personal and professional development, leadership and team building, networking, and Fundraising.
