As part of Keep America Beautiful's nationwide initiative, the Greatest American Cleanup, our goal is to unite the community to clean, green, and beautify our local parks, public spaces, and waterways. This effort is a part of the broader mission to prepare America for its 250th birthday on July 4, 2026, by removing 25 billion pieces of litter and beautifying 25,000 communities across the nation. Our annual city-wide clean-up has been a longstanding project for the committee as a part of its mission to reduce litter and promote responsible handling of waste in and around the city of Woodland Park. The cleanup has welcomed the assistance of hundreds of volunteers over the years, donating their time to pick up accumulated trash in parks, schools, neighborhoods, and alongside roadways.
