Program Requirements

If you are a veteran of the U.S. Armed forces, you are eligible to apply even if your business is a startup with limited revenue or operating history. The Biz2Empower eligibility guidelines require companies to have at least (1) business Tax Return with Gross Sales of $150,000 or more, have (1) current minority certification, or have an interest in becoming a government contractor with an intent to obtain a certification such as MBE, DBE, or Texas HUB if not currently certified.

The growth and sophistication of cybercriminals, ransomware, and hacker attacks have reached epic levels, and NEW protections are now required. We have created this educational session to inform our local businesses about what’s happening and educate them on new protections we are urging you to implement.

Triad Resources will be talking about the changes in Cyber Security for 2024. They will discuss critical strategies such as incident response planning, cyber insurance, cyber security training, new types of technology to mitigate threats, and more.

The Warrior Benefit’s core committee consists of Soldiers and Marines wounded after 9/11 and Gold Star parents. This core group hosts sporting events in Texas in order to build camaraderie between post 9/11 combat wounded veterans and demonstrate to those still recovering from physical and emotional injuries that there is a good and purposeful life after service to their country.

The post 9/11 combat wounded Soldiers and Marines that are part of our core advisory committee also demonstrate their willingness to help their wounded peers by voting on and donating funds to other charities that provide support for those that sacrificed so much for us. The majority of the funds raised by the Warrior Benefit are redistributed by our wounded veterans to charities they know are helping their peers.
