Step into a moody, expressive landscape in Into the Woods, a hands-on painting class focused on learning palette painting techniques that combine texture and color to create depth and atmosphere. Inspired by a simple woodland scene, this class will guide you through building layered backgrounds, expressive skies, and reflective ground using a palette knife and bold brushwork.

Participants will explore how to apply and manipulate paint for texture, create movement through circular and sweeping strokes, and develop contrast using a limited yet warm, earthy color palette. You’ll learn how to suggest trees and reflections with confident, loose marks rather than fine detail—perfect for artists who want to loosen up and embrace a more intuitive, painterly style.

This class is suitable for beginners and experienced painters alike. All materials are provided, no prior experience required. Cost is $25 per student. Please call or text Peggy at (26)343-8525 to register.
