“Building Capacity to Match Opportunities”

  The GHBPF cordially extends you an invitation to attend the 32nd Annual Awards Ceremony. The Program will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at The United Way located at 50 Waugh Dr., Houston, TX 77007. The Ceremony is from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. and the Admission is Free. Parking is also free at the parking garage attached to the Building. A complimentary Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m.

Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum (GHBPF) was established in 1991 and is celebrating its 32nd Annual Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. The event is designed to recognize and promote outstanding achievements of minority and small businesses in 14 Categories based on the challenges those businesses have overcome, total revenues, jobs created and economic impact the businesses have brought to the community as well as individuals and organizations that have demonstrated leadership and commitment to the advancement of the minority and small business community. The GHBPF will also present Scholarships to deserving Houston Community College Business Students that have excelled in their Curriculum and Community based activities.

The Mission of the Greater Houston Business Procurement Forum is to be a world class forum uniquely designed to provide advocates an opportunity to promote and enhance the success of “Economically and Socially Disadvantaged Businesses.” The goal is to bring together public and private sector officials, corporate and government administrators, political leaders, knowledgeable business leaders and entrepreneurs to share information on key business issues, create, execute and deliver business opportunities that “Make a Positive Difference” in the communities we live and serve.

Bunker Labs’ Veterans in Residence Showcase is a nationwide event, celebrating our program participants as they have completed Bunker Labs' six-month Veterans in Residence Program.

In Houston, we will be graduating our current cohort while welcoming our incoming cohort. We will be at Impact Hub Houston on May 23rd, 6 pm - 8 pm.

WHAT IS THE VETERANS IN RESIDENCE SHOWCASE?

Throughout the week of May 22nd, the Veterans in Residence Showcase honors over 325 veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs who are participating in the Veterans in Residence Program in 33 cohorts across the country. The Veterans in Residence Showcase exists to rally business and civic leaders around veteran and military spouses, making real connections that lead to real opportunities like customers, capital access, and partnerships.

WHO IS PRESENTING?

Veterans in Residence participants are early-stage companies from various industries. Our cohort members are focused on gaining significant traction in their entrepreneurial journey. You will also see our Bunker Labs Ambassadors leading the Showcase. Bunker Labs Ambassadors are the face of veteran and military spouse entrepreneurship in their local communities and are seeking significant connections to propel our community forward. Ambassadors are critical to the Bunker Labs mission and have been working with our program participants for 6 months.

Memorial Day is the time we, as a Nation, set aside to remember those who have fallen in service to our country.  Join us on Sunday, May 28 at 3 PM as our Armored Support Group performs a 21-gun salute with 105 Howitzers. This program will cap our week-long commemoration of those who sacrificed all for our Nation.
