1/1/2021 | STACC (STREET AND AIR CRITICAL CARE) The Street & Air Critical Care (StACC) course is a 20 week online program designed to provide experienced paramedics and nurses an in-depth understanding of the concepts of critical care transport and prepares them to pass national critical care transport certification exams. StACC instructors include physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, flight medics, and flight nurses. 24 different critical care subjects are covered including: ventilator management, lab data interpretation, radiographic image analysis, 12 lead EKG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, circulatory assist device management, advanced pharmacology, and more. StACC is divided into two sections. The first section provides in-depth instruction in the 24 different subjects with lectures, reading assignments, and quizzes The second section includes a summarized review of the specific content students will see on national critical care certification exams and a practice exam with answer rationales. StACC is approved by the International Board for Specialty Certifications (IBSC) for 60 CME units toward renewal of the FPC or CCPC. 1/13/2021 | CERTIFIED PUBLIC MANAGER (CPM) PROGRAM Utah Valley University Executive Education is pleased to be the new administrator for the Utah Certified Public Manager® Program. This program strengthens the professional performance of current and future public and non-profit managers. UVU Executive Education is excited to deliver this program in collaboration with expert faculty from the UVU Woodbury School of Business and UVU College of Health and Public Service. Certified Public Manager® is a professional designation granted by nationally accredited programs in state and federal governments. The CPM Program increases the capacity of its participants to effectively lead people, manage work processes and develop self-mastery. The Utah CPM Program consists of 3 Courses addressing a range of leadership and management skills. It is a non-credit program at UVU. To become a Certified Public Manager® participants must complete all sessions in each of the 3 required courses for a total of 300 hours. The cost for each Course is $750. These are in-person trainings unless indicated. The program will run in UVU's Lehi Campus. This course is designed to provide students with an in-depth examination of software testing skills. At the completion of this course students should be able to develop a test plan, design, implement and execute software test cases using a variety of testing methodologies, and evaluate and report on the results of their tests. Students will work with several different types of tests and testing environments, and will understand through case studies how to apply these to real life testing situations.
