What about a pair for your dress shoes?

Let us help you solve these problems by taking advantage of our one month sale!* Just give us a call ... our lab needs to have your information in order for you to take advantage of this great offer. It can be many years since you purchased your first one!

Have you been thinking about getting a first pair of orthotics? This is a great time to get two! First pair is $20 OFF and the second pair will be $140 OFF!*

Travis's 6th Birthday Fundraiser for Asplenia Research

Portillo's for GOOD - Fundraiser for T.E.A.M. 4 Travis
On Monday August 17 from 3PM to 9PM, please visit Portillo's Restaurant of Avondale and show this flyer to support T.E.A.M. 4 Travis (Together Ending Asplenia Mortality). Your visit will help us honor the memory of Travis Bones, a special little boy with a megawatt smile who loved life and loved having fun. In memory of his 6th birthday, Portillo's Restaurant of Avondale is hosting this event to support T.E.A.M. 4 Travis, the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Travis's mother to help prevent other children from dying from the rare disease Travis had.

In 2018, just 9 days after his 4th birthday, Travis died of an undiagnosed rare disease that no one knew he had. This disease is called Isolated Congenital Asplenia (ICA). Travis was born without a spleen. It compromised his immune system, leaving him vulnerable to bacterial infections. He spiked a fever one night, and despite receiving attention from 3 healthcare professionals, all dismissed his fever as simply the flu. But it wasn't the flu. As the infection raced through Travis's body, he developed sepsis and died the next afternoon, at the emergency room. It was only during the autopsy that it was discovered Travis did not have a spleen, which is vital to a healthy immune system.

Proceeds from the event will be used to help T.E.A.M. 4 Travis provide community awareness and education, advance medical research and advocate for better and more comprehensive Newborn Screening, so that children born with this rare genetic birth defect have a chance at living a long life.
