Join us for the 2024-2025 Women in Business Season Kick-Off!

Thursday, September 26, 2024
11:30am to 1:00pm
Pine Tree Apple Orchard
450 Apple Orchard Road, White Bear Lake

Each year, we kick off our season with a visit to Jacobson's Pine Tree Apple Orchard for a brown bag picnic. Bring your own lunch and settle in! We'll gather in the picnic tables for a presentation by the team at the orchard. If conditions are right, we may even get to go for a hay ride.

Attending a "Women in Business" luncheon offers several benefits:

  1. Networking: It provides an opportunity to connect with other women in the business community, fostering relationships, and potential collaborations.

  2. Professional Development: These luncheons often feature speakers or panel discussions focused on topics relevant to women in business, offering valuable insights and skills enhancement.

  3. Inspiration and Empowerment: Hearing from successful women leaders can inspire and motivate attendees, providing encouragement to pursue their own professional goals and aspirations.

  4. Support and Community: It creates a supportive environment where women can share experiences, challenges, and successes, building a sense of community and solidarity.

  5. Opportunity for Visibility: Attending these events can increase visibility within the business community, potentially leading to new opportunities, partnerships, or mentorship connections.

Overall, attending a "Women in Business" luncheon offers networking, professional development, inspiration, support, and visibility—all of which can contribute to personal and professional growth.

Note: This free* event is to be attended in person. It is co-hosted by: Minnesota Braver Angels, League of Women Voters of White Bear Lake Area, Rotary Club of White Bear Lake, and White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce.

What it's About

Polarization is fueled by how we talk about those on the other side of an issue. Too often, we ridicule, dismiss, or stereotype our fellow citizens. When Braver Angels addresses “polarization,” we are not referring to healthy disagreements over issues or philosophy. We are addressing how we regard and talk about large groups of people -- people who happen to be on the other side of the political aisle.

Goals

In this 1.5 hour session participants will learn:

  • How to be more aware of their own “inner polarizer”
  • How to be critical without demonizing, dismissing or stereotyping large swaths of the population

Who Can Attend?

Anyone interested in examining their own inner polarization and learning strategies to disagree without condemning or ridiculing others.

*Tickets are Free, Donations Help. Donations beyond the free ticket support Braver Angels, 501(c)3. Braver Angels does not ask for a donation if the participant is making one to their faith organization.
