Green Door Opening Reception for Annie-Smith-Piffel
Expressions of Pure Joy is a group exhibit by participants in the Artist In You program at St. Louis Arc.
Green Door art gallery resident artist and art instructor, Annie Smith-Piffel, has been the art instructor for this program since it started 10 years ago. The Artist in You is more than the ordinary art class. Participants are free to explore and work at their own pace on projects with varying degrees of difficulty in drawing, painting, and multimedia art. The works of art in Expressions of Pure Joy represent many of the projects that the participants have worked on over the last year. Through the course of the program, many of the wonderful art projects have been revealed around the St. Louis Arc offices, on display at various art exhibits and fairs, and also featured in news articles.
St. Louis Arc has been supporting people with developmental disabilities and their families since 1950. www.stlarc.org. The exhibit, which is part of the 10 year anniversary celebration of the Artist in You program, is sponsored by a generous grant from Wells Fargo’s My Service Project Initiative. These works of art will be on display and available for sale from January 4 – February 29, 2020
