Mini Catapult Workshop

Join Cool Science and DRC to learn about one of the earliest weapons of warfare by engineering your own solid wood mini-catapult. All materials will be provided. They will also provide plenty of marshmallow ammunition for you to test out before taking it home so you can continue customizing your project. This is a “drop-in” workshop, but the longer you are here the more you can learn and have fun!

Wild Whiskers

Join us for the 11th Annual *Wild Whiskers* on Saturday, March 30 at the Shining Mountain Golf Course in Woodland Park! This fancy shindig will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 pm where you can wet your whistle while you enjoy perusing the variety of items at the silent auction. Remember - ALL PROCEEDS benefit the pets at TCRAS!

A live guitar player will set the mood and the delicious dinner will be masterfully prepared by the chefs at the Swiss Chalet! After dinner, hear about some of the wonderful things that TCRAS has accomplished this year with YOUR help and support! Then we invite you to raise your paddle and help bring in money for our furry friends at the shelter! 

Then, the highlight of the night, the PUPPY PARADE! Enjoy the incredible cuteness of adoptable shelter pets and TCRAS alumni as they strut their stuff down the catwalk, er, dogwalk!

Wear your fanciest cowboy and cowgirl outfits and join us for a night of fun!

Friday Night Creative Chill: Printmaking



The joy of printmaking begins with crafting your very own printing block, essentially a large stamp that you'll design and carve with specialized printmaking tools and methods.

Bobsled Racing

Bobsled racing is an exciting winter sport where racers zip down icy tracks, often at speeds over 90 mph. In this hands-on activity, created by Museum of Science in Boston, you will build mini bobsleds out of soap dishes and race them down rain gutters, learning about center of mass, gravity, friction and drag resistance. Nonprofit Leaders' Connect

Nonprofit leaders in Teller County get together for networking, training and a presentation. Training for this meeting is on how to develop a culture. The trainer is Angie Brown. Angie assisted a group in Colorado Springs, who put together a training program for a development team from a national organization. The training focused on how to establish a culture around your mission, AKA, building an Ambassador program. The Ambassador group, which she was instrumental in making successful, increased fundraising by 371% within its first two years. Angie is on the board of the Lion's Club in Woodland Park, she is a member of Teller Networking Team, Co-Owner of MIZAR Resources and worked for Nabisco as a Territory Manager for fourteen years before moving to Colorado. Angie specializes in personal and professional development, leadership and team building, networking, and Fundraising.
