Kids’ Art Rocks! is a program of the Tibbits Foundation that mats and frames student artwork for lease by area businesses for a year. Prior to their lease, artwork hangs in the Tibbits gallery.

Prior to 2018, teachers would submit their best work to this program. In 2018, Arts Alive took over the program and opened it up to allow for submission by anyone completing K-12 curriculum. This allows for a broader scope of work from homeschool groups or those attending schools outside of Branch County. All pieces are then judged by a panel of judges and the top pieces are then matted and/or framed along with student bios.

CONTEST RULES:

* This contest is open to any student currently in pre/K-12 curriculum (not limited to any specific state or school; homeschool submissions welcome!)
* Subject matter must be appropriate to hang in businesses
* All artwork must be UNFRAMED
* All artwork must be a MINIMUM of 8″ x 10″
* DUE to Tibbits Admin Offices, 93 W. Chicago by March 21, 2023 at 5pm.
* Please download, print & fill out the 2023 ARTIST BIOGRAPHY FORM and the 2023 Parent Permission Form

All artwork will be exhibited at Tibbits Art Gallery from May 3 to July 27 with a dessert reception on Tues July 27 from 6-7pm for all artists and their families as well as the general public.

Contest includes prizes & art supply giveaways (must be present at reception in July to win)!

If your child’s work is NOT chosen for the lease: Your child’s unframed work will be available for pick up at the conclusion of the reception or at the Tibbits Admin Office following that.

If your child’s work is chosen for the lease: Your child’s framed artwork will be available for pick up following the year-long lease at the Tibbits Administrative Office, 93 W. Chicago Street in Coldwater. You will be notified by email or phone as to the specific date late summer/fall 2024 when it will be available.

Come laugh the night away! This annual stand-up comedy event has become a great escape from the winter blues and features three professional comics, including headliner Corey Rodriguez, featured comic Chris Young and opener Maher Matta!

FEATURING HEADLINER COREY RODRIGUEZ

“Clean comedian” Corey Rodrigues was the winner of The Catch a New Rising Star, The Funniest Comic in New England and the 2017 Big Sky Comedy Festivals. Rodrigues has been featured on the hilarious Gotham LiveLaughs on Fox and True TV’s Laff Mobbs Laff Tracks. In 2018 he released his Dry Bar comedy special, was voted “best of the fest” at the Big Pine Comedy Festival and was picked as one of TBS’s “Comics to Watch” at the New York Comedy Fest. In 2019 Rodrigues made his late night TV debut on the Conan O’Brien show. He can currently be heard daily on Sirius XM. “His comedy is honest and fun,” constantly peppering in stories from his life and the lives of those around him. Mix that with a hilarious point of view and he’s able to talk about just about anything.
