We invite you to gather together with the Citadel and other ministries across the Valley for the Nehemiah Conference 2020. Why Nehemiah? In the bible the book of Nehemiah shows the story of rebuilding God’s people both physically and spiritually. At this conference we are looking to provide both spiritual and practical information to help believers meet both their spiritual and practical needs. Our sessions include:
- Financial Peace – “Help, my money is funny!”: One of the greatest stresses in life is finances, when our money is off everything can feel unbalanced. In this session you will learn practical tips on your relationship with money, how to create a budget that works, credit – tips on repair and improving your credit score and money and the Word, what does God say about money? – Elder Jo Barry, Facilitator
- Finding your gift in the Kingdom: Not sure what your spiritual gifts are or where to serve? In this session we look to the Word to uncover your gifts to the Body of Christ and how those gifts can be used with in the Kingdom at your ministry. – Reverend Antoine Anderson, Facilitator
- Dealing with Aging Parents & Death: This is an area that we all will have to face in life, but we only get one chance to get it right. We will talk about becoming a caregiver, what every family needs to have in place and dealing/planning for the death of a parent – Overseer B. Alexander Wright, Facilitator
- Mental Health Awareness: In this session we will discuss mental health and the church. We are in a day and time when “praying it away” is not enough, you need God, a Pastor AND sometimes a Therapist. Dr. Leanette Henagan, Facilitator
- BREAK OUTS SESSIONS: Men – lead by Elder Ted Burton , Women – lead by Bishop La’Tresa Jester , Youth – lead by Rev Jovanka Brown ,
