Most of the golf event proceeds will go to Soldier's Best Friend, that provides veterans with PTSD or traumatic brain injury with service or therapeutic companion dogs, most of which are shelter dogs.  The dogs cost $7,500 to train and pair with veterans.
The event is $325/group of 4 which includes range, 18 holes, lunch, cart, goodie bag, door prize tickets and surprises throughout the day.

Those who cannot attend can still donate.  They'll have a ball drop,in which, people can "buy" a golf ball (either 1 for $5 or pack of 6 for $25).  They are assigned a number.  The balls go up 100' in the air with the fire truck ladder.  They are dropped.  Whichever ball is closest to the target wins.  There will be prizes for the closest three golf balls.  (Must not be present to win.)
