Don’t spend another summer on the couch! Get a head start on building your own entrepreneurial business instead. Join this week-long camp (for students who will have completed 4th or 5th grades in June) for an action-packed, experiential, STEM-based program that introduces you to the basics of starting a business and becoming your own boss. Along with field trips and face-to-face meetings with area business owners, you will develop a business plan, create marketing materials, and pitch your ideas in a ‘Shark Tank’-style presentation at the end of the week - all with the help of business professionals. Before you know it, you’ll have the confidence and skills needed to start that babysitting, lawn-mowing or pet-sitting service you’ve been thinking about! Daily lunch and snacks, materials, and a t-shirt are included in the cost of the camp.

In a life full of Google calendars, alarms, and pings, we forget to pause. To breathe. To stop. To listen. In sports, pausing before you serve the ace, drive the ball, or invert into a shoulder pose provides balance. In life, pausing also restores your natural talent and gives you space to say what you want to say with confidence, do what you need to do with moxie, and tap into your inner strength to be you. Join us to learn about the power of pause: how to access it, leverage it, and listen to it.

How does our thinking shape business results? Many of us have seen the impact in personal life but what does this mean in the workplace? This session will focus on what it takes to see more broadly than our own position and eliminate the thinking errors that hold us back. We'll practice tools you can apply to your own work and team to see positive changes that lead to new opportunities. Whether you are looking at the big picture, your own department, or your role, come learn some new techniques to build your growth mindset and help others around you that may still see things with a fixed mindset.
All Chamber members are welcome.
