It’s Carnival time!!  CARES is providing a fun FREE carnival on April 27, 2019 from 11:00-3:00 at the Dickinson County Expo Building in Spirit Lake!

What is the CARES Carnival??  CARES stands for Community Advocates Ready to Empower Survivors.  CARES consists of community volunteers in BOTH Dickinson AND Emmet counties.  The CARES group provides support to FCC (Family Crisis Centers) and CAASA (Centers Against Abuse & Sexual Assault).  FCC & CAASA provide advocacy services to adult and children survivors of domestic violence, human trafficking, homicide, and sexual abuse in 19 counties in Northwest Iowa.

The CARES carnival raised over $6,000 last year to help these two agencies continue to provide services and assistance to victims within Dickinson & Emmet Counties.  Once again it is that time of year!  Please come join us for a day of activities which include bouncy houses, balloons, face painting, games, food, entertainment, and a silent auction!  All Kinds of fun for the kids including a puppet show this year and a live DJ once again!  Don’t miss out!!

If you have any questions feel free to contact either Cathy Hanson (712-330-5972) or Misty Wolff (712-362-3200).  See you at the Carnival!!
