You've heard of the Run for the Roses. On May 6, join us for our Crawl for the Roses! This Kentucky Derby themed bar crawl, benefiting Whitley's Wishes and research for pediatric brain cancer, will be a fun filled event complete with a scavenger hunt and contests for best dressed couple, most dapper gent and best hat as well as a 50/50 drawing and "horse betting." Home base will be the The Foundry Boathouse. Additional participating bars are The Holiday Shores Marina, Wigglers, and The Yellow Dog. Teams may consist of up to 4 people. We will finish up the crawl at the Boathouse, with a watch party of the 149th running of the Kentucky Derby, followed by food and entertainment! Please join the members of the Edwardsville Historic Preservation Commission for a rededication of the Edwardsville Clock Tower as we celebrate a century since the clock was erected in the city. We also will open and reveal the contents of a 25-year-old time capsule located at the clock tower. New items will be added in the near future and the time capsule will be resealed for another quarter of a century, to be opened in 2048.Tuesday, May 16, 2023
