Monthly Board of Directors Meeting at noon
Wednesday, April 10, 2024

Post 111 of the American Legion welcomes veterans residing or working in Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, Cedar Fort, Fairfield and surrounding communities to attend their monthly meeting, every 2nd Wednesday at 7pm, held in the Welcome Center of the Eagle Mountain Chamber of Commerce at 3688 E. Campus Dr. #101, Eagle Mountain, UT 84005

Who can join the Legion?
All veterans are welcome. If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

What is the difference between the VFW and the American Legion?
While both the VFW and American Legion are organizations that serve veterans, they have different requirements for entry. The VFW is open only to veterans who served in combat, while the Legion is open to anyone who has served in the military.

What kinds of resources are available?
Post 111 has a Veterans Service Officer VSO to assist with PACT Act Claims, military disability ratings, and accessing other needed resources.

Our Mission
To enhance the well-being of America's veterans, their families, our military, and our communities by our devotion to mutual helpfulness. The American Legion's vision statement is "The American Legion: Veterans Strengthening America." The American Legion's value principles are as follows:

A VETERAN IS A VETERAN - which means The American Legion embraces all current and former members of the military and endeavors to help them transition into their communities.

SELFLESS SERVICE - which means The American Legion celebrates all who contribute to something larger than themselves and inspires others to serve and strengthen America.

AMERICAN VALUES AND PATRIOTISM - which means The American Legion advocates for upholding and defending the United States Constitution, equal justice and opportunity for everyone and discrimination against no one, youth education, responsible citizenship and honoring military service by observing and participating in memorial events.

FAMILY AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT - which means The American Legion meets the unique needs of local communities.

ADVANCING THE VISION - which means The American Legion educates, mentors and leads new generations of Americans.

HONOR THOSE WHO CAME BEFORE US - which means The American Legion pays perpetual respect for all past military sacrifices to ensure they are never forgotten by new generations.

The American Legion's motto is "Veterans Strengthening America."

Come hear and experience what Royal Family KIDS Camp is for Utah Foster Kids. Come and hear how you can be a champion in helping Foster kids go to our 2024 camp and mentoring. Help make a difference in a child's life.

Royal Family KIDS (RFK) is a one-week camp designed for foster kids ages 7-11. It is specifically designed to help heal the emotional scars of abuse in a fun and safe environment. There are a variety of fun activities of crafts, woodwork, singing, and games that we do. RFK fosters resiliency, self-esteem, hope and positive memories. The camp curriculum and activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention to ensure our children are experiencing truly life giving activities throughout the 5- day experience. Our volunteers are interviewed, trained, and background checked at level 3. Safety is top priority for the kids with rules of two deep, where no one is ever alone with a child, no personal information or photos exchanged, and name tags always worn to identify the royal team.
