Formerly named the Duarte Women’s Business Expo, the event was the creation of the late city of Duarte Mayor and Councilmember Tzeitel Paras-Caracci with the intent of hosting a day for current and aspiring women business owners to learn and grow. Recognizing that the COVID-19 pandemic changed the work and family dynamics for many women, this year’s organizers renamed the event to the San Gabriel Valley Women’s Summit to expand the audience to women throughout the San Gabriel Valley coming from all walks of life, career paths, and different times within their workforce journey. Whether pivoting careers, returning from caregiving, or just getting started, this year’s theme, “Hello, Women of 2023!” welcomes all women to learn, grow, and support each other together.

Join the Irwindale Chamber of Commerce and Human Approach HR (HAHR), for our first session in our In It to Win It Irwindale series, a quarterly knowledge sharing workshop program for the business community! At this quarter's workshop, we will discuss the difficult, but important, topic of harassment in the workplace. Speaker Yolanda Quintana will go into depth of harassment as a whole and preventing it early in the process. This workshop will cover the state required California Sexual Harassment/Discrimination Prevention for Supervisors and Managers training. Certificates will be on hand at the event, if required by an employer.Our workshop will be held on Thursday, March 30 from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Irwindale Community Room (16102 Arrow Hwy., Irwindale, CA, 91706). Continental breakfast will be served, and included with each ticket!
