An information session is being organised by The Malta Chamber and BCRS Malta Ltd, the operator of Malta’s Beverage Container Refund Scheme, with the participation of the Scheme regulator, Circular Economy Malta. With only a few weeks until the launch of the Beverage Container Refund Scheme, members in the Production, Importation, Distribution and Retail sectors are encouraged to attend and familiarise themselves with all the details of how the Scheme will work and how it will affect their business.
A Question-and-Answer Session during the event, will present members with the opportunity to ask any pertinent questions and ensure they are in conformity with their legal obligations.

The Malta Chamber is organizing a Networking Event in collaboration with the Business & Professional Women Malta (BPW), Trade Malta and Enterprise Europe Network, hosting a group of Estonian female entrepreneurs from the Banking, Law, Aviation, Accounting, Marketing, Coaching, Content Writing, and Education sectors.
The Networking Event will take place on the 12th of May at 1400hrs at The Malta Chamber premises in Valletta.

The Malta Chamber is also accepting requests from Malta based companies to host members of the Estonian delegation at their respective companies.
The company visits will happen on Thursday, 12th May.

This training workshop will discuss the key benefits and challenges of corporate training, underpinned by digital learning environments. The event is part of the Erasmus+ KA2 project, entitled ‘Digital Skills for the Artificial Intelligence Revolution’ (DS4AIR), which is co-funded by the European Union (Reference Number: 2020-1-MT01-KA204-074223). The DS4AIR project aims to create a high-quality digital learning environment for adults in today’s workforce vis-à-vis the disruption brought about by emerging technologies, particularly the Artificial Intelligence Revolution. More information can be found at http://www.ds4air.com.

This event, held by The Malta Chamber in collaboration with EY, will kick-off with an analysis of the 6th Malta Future Consumer Index from EY, which has tracked changing consumer expectations and buying behaviours in Malta over the last two years. The research will zoom in on the impact of inflation, COVID-19, and expectations and frustrations with digital channels.
 
Mr Chris Vassallo Cesareo, Deputy President of The Malta Chamber, will open proceedings. The findings will be analysed by a panel of industry leaders in Malta’s retail sector discussing how to achieve success today and growth tomorrow, and the support to make this happen.

The event will also feature Dr Marthese Portelli, CEO of The Malta Chamber, outlining the actions and policy proposals being put forward to support the sector in these challenging times. Other keynote speakers will also be present.

THE 2022 GLOBAL ECONOMIC OUTLOOK

The Malta Chamber together with HSBC Bank Malta p.l.c is organising The 2022 Global Economic Outlook

Mr James Pomeroy, Global Economist at HSBC, will discuss the highly uncertain outlook for the global economy in 2022, what higher commodity prices could mean for the world and what policymakers are likely to do about this difficult situation.

This webinar will be taking place on Tuesday 24 May at 2.00pm.

HR shortages and the skills gap are two of the main challenges facing the Maltese Economy, with these issues being particularly acute for the Manufacturing Sector.

As communicated to our members, The Malta Chamber, in collaboration with MCAST and MG2i will be launching a training/employment scheme for foreign students to undertake on the job training whilst simultaneously participating in the MCAST Mechanical and Electrical course (level 3).  

This Info Session will serve as an opportunity for all the details on the programme to be disseminated to the interested Manufacturers Economic Group members, whilst also affording the latter an opportunity to raise any queries.
