Her title, Jet Girl will be available to be signed by Caroline on Sunday, December first from noon-2.  Stop by to meet Caroline, to find out what it is like to be a jet pilot and to her what her future plans might be. Join Us for Breakfast!

Networking Breakfasts take place the first and third Thursday of every month in the Chamber of Commerce Community Room from 7:30-9:00 AM. Listen to 10-minute informative talks from two fellow members. Meet and mingle with other business people over a tasty breakfast provided by the speakers. Everyone gets 30 seconds to introduce themselves and tell what's up in their business.

Annual membership is $40 and Chamber membership is required.

You must register in advance to attend, walk-ins are not allowed. If you are bringing a guest, they too must register.

Jackson Creek Senior Living will welcome the Colorado Dickens Carolers to perform for the community’s one-year anniversary celebration on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. The Colorado Dickens Carolers have performed holiday events throughout Colorado Springs and the Front Range since 1995. Performing in Victorian-style costumes, the group’s setlist includes a mix of traditional Christmas carols, popular holiday songs and jazzy arrangements. The Historic Monument Merchants Association's annual Small Town Christmas event takes place the first Saturday of December which is December 7th this year.  Besides a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, carolers, crafts and many other events in the downtown area, Covered Treasures Bookstore will host three authors.  Stop by to meet them all.  Carmela Lavigna Coyle will be signing her "Do Princesses... series" including her latest title, Can Princesses be Astronauts?  from 11-1; Nancy Oswald will sign her Christmas title, Ruby's Christmas Gift from 11-2 and Margaret Mizushima will sign her latest in her Timber Creek K-9 mystery series, Tracking Game.  Refreshments will be served using the recipes in the Junior League of Denver's latest cookbook, Centennial Celebrations which will, also, be available at the store.

Jackson Creek Senior Living will host a Holiday Market with complimentary refreshments, local business owners and a special visit from Santa Claus on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. The event will bring together local vendors to showcase their products and services while featuring family-friendly, holiday-themed activities for children and adults of all ages. Light refreshments will be served. Local artists will be selling holiday décor, jewelry, hand-sewed items, painted signs and more. Local entertainment troupe Song Spinners will perform a Christmas show at Jackson Creek Senior Living on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 1 p.m. The group of volunteer performers incorporates song and dance in their shows to create an entertaining and engaging program people of all ages can enjoy. As the official Colorado Springs show choir, Song Spinners performs about 50 shows per year at businesses, organizations and retirement communities throughout the Tri-Lakes area. Make your own fused glass Christmas decorations. All tools and supplies (including glass in Christmas colors and pre-cut shapes) will be provided for you to make five ornaments. Students will need to return to the gallery to pick up their finished pieces after they are fired.

The 2nd annual Calhan Country Christmas lights up the El Paso County Fair & Events Center on December 14th, 2019 in Calhan, Colorado!  Come enjoy the magic of the season.  Gates open at 5p.m. There is no admission charge, but guests are encouraged to bring one non-perishable food donation per person to support the Eastern Plains Community Pantry. Santa and LIVE reindeer will be there, a live Nativity, carolers, vendors, concessions, live music from Solid Ground and of course the amazing Calhan Christmas Parade of Lights!  There is also a Holiday Light Display Competition!

Calhan Country Christmas is a community event and hosted by the El Paso County Fair & Events, Calhan Christmas Parade of Lights and the Town of Calhan with events and entertainment for the entire family, including:

  • 5p.m. Gates Open
  • 5p.m. LIVE Reindeer visits courtesy of Anderson Precast and NAPA of Calhan
  • 5p.m. Vendors
  • 5p.m. Hay Rides
  • 5p.m. Live Nativity
  • 5p.m. Colorado Springs Astronomical Society  telescopes (weather permitting)
  • 6p.m. Strolling Carolers
  • 7p.m. Parade of Lights (begins and ends at the Fairgrounds)
  • 8p.m. Photo opportunity with Santa
  • 8p.m. Live music featuring Solid Ground
 
*A Bull Riding event will also take place in the Indoor Owens Livestock Arena at the Fairgrounds at 8:00 p.m.
