Events in the month of January 2022

For the past twelve years Inspire School of Arts & Sciences has held an annual school-wide gala, where students and staff showcase their classwork and extracurricular activities to the community. This year, entitled “Be what you want to see!”, the gala will not only showcase students’ performance work, but will invite community members to learn what it’s like to be an Inspire student and even feel like one. The event will extend beyond the two performances on January 8th, there will be displays of work from an eclectic list of classes, interactive booths, and club presentations inviting community members to take part in the educational experiences that happen every day at Inspire.

There will be a Q & A panel directed at potential new Inspire students, where current Inspire students will answer questions on stage asked live by audience members, allowing prospective Inspire students and families the ability to hear about the school from the people who know it best.

Between the two performance times the gala will have the entire lobby displayed with student work from numerous classes. Clubs, classes, and performance groups will display and present work at booths and with interactive demonstrations. There will also be dinner and dessert available from Roots Catering and Blue Sugar Bakeshop for people to enjoy, whether coming out of the 2:00pm performance or going into the 7:00pm. Pre-orders are required for the food and performances at www.inspirechico.org/events.

This entire event is open to the public and all activities are family-friendly. Students that apply to Inspire from December 1st – January 7th will receive a free ticket to the Gala. Get Inspired and see what their school is all about Saturday, January 8th at the Center for the Arts.
