Celebrate the seasonal cycles through prayer, song, and dance with our Cultural Dance Program. Dances connect us to our ancestors, community, and traditions while honoring gifts from our Creator.
They ensure that life continues and connections to the past and future are reinforced. The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is the only place in North America to offer cultural Native American dances every week, year-round.

We are making plans for the 2025 Together in Love gala which will feature guest speakers, videos, and an online auction, and we wish to make a passionate appeal for you to support this special event. Our goal is to have sponsors for this event, with a goal of raising $200,000. With your help, we can raise this amount to devote to ending homelessness and incarceration rates in Albuquerque.

Dive Into Discovery: Celebrate STEAM Day with Hands-On Fun for the Whole Family
On Saturday, February 22nd, from 10 AM to 3 PM, the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History invites families to explore STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) through engaging experiments and hands-on activities. Local engineers, physicists, technicians, and scientists will guide families and Scouts in activities designed to spark interest in scientific fields.
Children can participate in exciting, meaningful, fun, and kid-friendly activities. At the end of the visit, participants will be rewarded with a custom button for participating in the interactive experiences!
This event is included with museum admission; all museum members can attend for free.
February’s IPCC Family Story Times will feature books and activities related to the traditional winter activity of weaving!
On February 22nd, we will be reading Wisdom Weaver by Jann A. Johnson, illustrated by Linda Taylor (Diné painter and award-winning weaver). In this award-winning story, an adoring granddaughter learns the process of making a traditional Navajo rug from her patient grandmother. She not only learns the time-consuming basics, but also about the patience and positive mental strength which is required to produce something worthy of representing her people.
Our second books, Stitches of Tradition (Gashkigwaaso Tradition), was written by Marcie Rendon (Ojibwe) and illustrated by Joshua Mangeshig Pawis-Steckley (Ojibwe). This story celebrates the power of Indigenous craft and community and weaves together the spirit of resilience, female empowerment, and gratitude for the generations that came before us. A grandmother sews a beautiful new ribbon skirt for her granddaughter to wear, a reminder of her nookomis and the cultural traditions that stitch together her family with love.
A maker of ribbon skirts will be sharing her traditions, art, and craft with the families. Children will be given the opportunity to Make and Take a simple weaving craft.
