Looking to build confidence speaking Spanish? Our Adult Beginning Spanish Language classes are designed for adults who want to learn the basics in a welcoming, supportive, and practical learning environment.
These classes focus on everyday conversational Spanish, helping participants develop foundational skills for real-life situations—whether at work, in the community, or for personal growth. No prior Spanish experience is required.

Brahms did not set a Latin mass.
He called his great work Ein deutsches Requiem—A German Requiem—but wrote to a colleague that he would have preferred to call it “A Human Requiem.”
His intention was clear: this is music for the living, not the dead. Not bound to any single dogma, Brahms bypassed conventional liturgy to weave together scripture that speaks to sorrow, love, and release. Just three years after its premiere, the work was performed in English with the composer’s support.
The response to last season’s Spanish-language presentation of The Messiah affirmed how powerfully this music speaks across language. In that spirit of openness and consolation, we present the Requiem in Spanish.

Su intención era clara: esta música está escrita para los vivos, no para los muertos. Al apartarse de la liturgia tradicional, Brahms entrelazó textos bíblicos que hablan del duelo, el amor y la liberación. Apenas tres años después de su estreno, la obra fue interpretada en inglés con el apoyo del propio compositor.
La extraordinaria acogida de nuestra presentación en español de El Mesías la temporada pasada confirmó la fuerza con la que esta música trasciende el idioma. Con ese mismo espíritu de apertura y consuelo, presentamos ahora el Réquiem en español.
