Nevada Gold Mines has partnered with Zero Suicides Elko County to offer free suicide first-aid training to NGM employees and community members in Elko and surrounding areas. Through SafeTalk training, anyone in our community can learn how to reach out to someone thinking about suicide and get them to the right resources to help keep them safe. Classes are scheduled for September 10th and 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Nannini Administration Building in Elko (540 Court St.). Only thirty seats are available per class. Battle Mountain Cookhouse Museum cordially invites you to participate in our 4-man scramble golf tournament on Saturday, September 21 at Mountain View Gold Course. This fundraising event promises to be a day filled with friendly competition, camaraderie, and of course, plenty of great golf.
The tournament will follow a 4-man scramble format, allowing players of all skill levels to come together and enjoy the game. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this is an opportunity to showcase your skills and have a fantastic time on the course.
In addition to the golfing action, there will be prizes awarded for various categories, as well as food and refreshments provided throughout the day.
We hope that you can join us for what is sure to be an unforgettable day of golf. Please Pre-register at the golf course to secure your spot in the tournament. Registration is $40 per player and we have a 18 team cap.

Join us in learning how to create and Maintain healthy Soil from Jed Eberly, Associate Professor, Montana State University. Maintaining soil health is critical for sustainable agriculture and plant health and productivity. There are many key indicators of soil health such as soil structure, organic matter content, and biological activity, but understanding how these indicators are altered by management practices can be challenging. Microorganisms in the soil are an often-overlooked component to soil health. This webinar will describe soil health indicators and strategies and challenges to improving soil health.
