Join us for the Lander County Committee Against Domestic Violence's 20th Annual 5K Fun Run/Walk! This event is a great way to show your support for survivors of domestic violence and raise awareness about this important issue in our community. The run/walk will take place on Saturday, October 4th at 8am, starting at the Elquist Park. Participants can choose to run or walk the 5K course, and all ages and fitness levels are welcome to join in the fun. Registration is $5 per student, $10 per person or $25 per family (family of 5) and all proceeds will go towards supporting the programs and services provided by the Lander County Committee Against Domestic Violence. In addition to the race, there will be music, food, and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Our food and clothes pantry/distribution program is dedicated to providing essential items to individuals and families in need within our community. We understand the importance of access to nutritious food and clean clothing, and strive to alleviate the burden of financial hardship for those facing difficult circumstances.Our pantry offers a wide variety of non-perishable food items, including canned goods, grains, pasta, and other staple foods. Additionally, we provide fresh produce when available, as well as hygiene products such as soap, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessities for a healthy and dignified life.
In addition to food assistance, our distribution program also offers gently used clothing for men, women, and children. We believe that having appropriate attire can boost self-esteem and confidence, especially during job interviews or important events. Our selection includes seasonal clothing items such as coats in winter and sandals in summer.

Our food and clothes pantry/distribution program is dedicated to providing essential items to individuals and families in need within our community. We understand the importance of access to nutritious food and clean clothing, and strive to alleviate the burden of financial hardship for those facing difficult circumstances.Our pantry offers a wide variety of non-perishable food items, including canned goods, grains, pasta, and other staple foods. Additionally, we provide fresh produce when available, as well as hygiene products such as soap, toothpaste, and feminine hygiene products. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has access to the basic necessities for a healthy and dignified life.
In addition to food assistance, our distribution program also offers gently used clothing for men, women, and children. We believe that having appropriate attire can boost self-esteem and confidence, especially during job interviews or important events. Our selection includes seasonal clothing items such as coats in winter and sandals in summer.
We are committed to serving our community with compassion and respect. Our pantry/distribution program operates on a regular schedule to ensure consistent support for those in need. We welcome all individuals who require assistance without judgment or discrimination.

Join us for ELJH's annual Trunk or Treat fundraiser! This family-friendly event will feature a variety of creatively decorated car trunks, each filled with candy and treats for children to enjoy. Entry fee is $5.00 per child. In addition to the trunk displays, there will be face painting, games, donuts and hot chocolate available for purchase. All proceeds from this event will go towards supporting our school's extracurricular programs and activities. We have a fantastic opportunity for children to practice and develop literacy skills with a "Grandreader." Our Grandreaders are volunteers who want to share their vast knowledge/experience and time with youngsters who need a little assistance or a mentor. Children will be met at their personal level. Business Trick-or-Treat is a unique event that brings together local businesses and the community for a fun and festive Halloween celebration. During this event, participating businesses open their doors to welcome trick-or-treaters of all ages, offering candy, treats, and sometimes even special promotions or discounts. This provides a safe and enjoyable environment for families to enjoy the Halloween spirit while also supporting local businesses. Business Trick-or-Treat is a great way for businesses to engage with their community and build positive relationships with customers, while also creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.This year there will be 2 starting points with the list of participating businesses and a trick-or-treat bag sponsored by Chamber of Commerce members.
