Joel Hensley, Principal Planner, will provide an overview of STLCO 2050 and discuss how the plan establishes a long-term vision for St. Louis County while guiding the development of a sustainable, equitable, and fiscally responsible community. From transportation and land use to housing, workforce access, and infrastructure investment, STLCO 2050 serves as a framework for thoughtful, coordinated growth across St. Louis County. A defining feature of STLCO 2050 is its foundation in community input. Shaped by resident feedback, the plan reflects the priorities of those who live and work throughout the county. Joel will share how this collective vision was developed and how public engagement helped inform strategies that guide future growth and investment.

To achieve these outcomes, STLCO 2050 also confronts several critical challenges impacting the county today, including:

  • Population stagnation
  • Rising infrastructure costs and long-term maintenance burdens
  • A job-skills mismatch, including a missing “middle” of available jobs
  • Housing diversity and affordability challenges
  • Social and environmental resilience

Why This Matters for Business: STLCO 2050 influences decisions that directly affect where businesses locate, how employees commute, workforce readiness, housing availability, and infrastructure investment. As the blueprint for creating lasting, positive change in St. Louis County, the plan helps business leaders anticipate change, engage in conversations about growth, and advocate for policies that support a strong, resilient, and competitive business environment.

Program: The Story Only You Can Tell
In a crowded and competitive world, your story is one of your greatest assets. Join us for this month’s Women’s Group Luncheon as we explore how the principles behind Donald Miller’s “StoryBrand” framework can help you clarify your message, strengthen your brand, and communicate your value with confidence. Whether you’re a business owner, corporate professional, nonprofit leader, or entrepreneur, the way you tell your story matters. When your message is clear and focused, people lean in to hear what you are saying. When it’s complicated or unclear, opportunities can be missed.

During this session, we’ll discuss how to:

  • Clarify what you do and who you serve
  • Position yourself and your organization as a trusted guide
  • Simplify your messaging so it resonates and builds trust
  • Articulate your value in a way that is confident, compelling, and memorable

This conversation isn’t about being the loudest voice in the room — it’s about being the clearest. Because while many people may offer similar services or hold similar roles, the story only you can tell is the one that sets you apart. Join us for an engaging and practical luncheon designed to help you refine your message and elevate your impact — personally and professionally.

Bowles Ave Area Friends... Let's Get Together In Your Neighborhood!
Meeting members & supporting businesses... one neighborhood at a time!

The Fenton Chamber is bringing the connection closer to you with our monthly In Your Neighborhood events! Designed to meet members where they are, this program takes us on the road to local businesses throughout Fenton and surrounding communities—spotlighting our members and strengthening relationships along the way. Each month, we pop into a different “neighborhood” for breakfast, lunch, or after-hours networking at a Chamber member location. These relaxed, come-and-go gatherings make it easy to connect with Chamber staff, meet fellow members, and build relationships with nearby business owners you might not see at other events.

While all are welcome, we make a point to personally invite members and prospective members who live or work nearby—creating a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that’s all about connection, visibility, and support. Come support a local business, grow your network, and be part of what makes our business community thrive… one neighborhood at a time!

Join us for this month’s Connect Over Coffee, hosted by Rockwood Summit High School. As a Chamber committed to strengthening our local business community, we are proud to partner with institutions that serve as pillars of the Fenton area — and Rockwood Summit High School is certainly one of them. Start your morning with fresh coffee, meaningful conversation, and the opportunity to connect in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Our schools play a vital role in shaping the next generation of leaders, employees, and entrepreneurs. Supporting and engaging with them is part of our broader commitment to investing in the future of our community. This special edition of Connect Over Coffee offers a meaningful opportunity for business professionals and community members to step inside one of our local schools, build new connections, and strengthen existing relationships in a setting that reflects the heart of our community.

Stop by on your way into work, enjoy a cup of coffee, and take time to connect. Whether you stay for a few minutes or the full hour, you’ll be part of something bigger — because coffee is better with friends, and community is stronger when we show up for one another
