The group 100 Women Who Care Marshall will provide local women the opportunity to give back locally. Modeled after similarly named groups in other parts of the state and country, interested women can join for an annual commitment and the group meets four times throughout for one-hour meetings. We have created a team option for those that would like to join us. you can have no more than 4 people on your team, you will select 1 spokesperson, your team will have 1 vote and 1 team check. Each member will have the opportunity nominate an organization, there will be a drawing of 3, then 3 pitches to the group non-profit organizations they feel can benefit from some additional funds and suggested organizations would be voted upon during each meeting. If membership grows to 100 members, the organization selected will be giving away $10,000 at each meeting. The larger the group grows, the greater of an impact we can make. PLEASE ADD AND INVITE ANYONE THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED!

The Gas Light Art Colony is dedicated to broadening an appreciation of the Arts by providing opportunities that promote awareness, participation and understanding through fine arts exhibitions, classes and workshops.

This volunteer-based organization was formed by 12 active members, and is governed by a board of directors.  Folks in the community have been very supportive with items of donation used to open this gallery and art studio.

Various art classes will be taught by volunteers.  There will be sign-up lists for children and adults interested in Basic Art, Photography, and Ceramics, just to name a few.

Monthly Little Book Beginners programs are planned for pre-schoolers ages 3, 4, and 5 years and a parent at Marshall Public Library this school year. At each thirty minute session the children listen to stories, learn finger plays, do interactive projects with a parent, and more. The parents learn valuable information about effective ways to read to children and provide a reading environment at home. Children receive a free book to take home at each session and an additional book if they complete a monthly reading log.

Little Book Beginners will meet on the third Thursday of each month, September thru April, at 6:30 PM in the library. Registration is limited, so please call the library or click here to register if you plan to attend. Marshall Rotary Club and Evelyn Knowles Foundation generously fund this program.
