The 2025 statewide Utah ShakeOut is on April 17, when Utahns will participate in earthquake drills at work, school, or home, practicing earthquake safety and other aspects of their emergency plans.
Mapleton City residents and business owners watch the city website and facebook pages to learn how to participate in the city wide drill. This year the focus will be on earthquake safety.
All citizens and businesses are encouraged to register for their city’s emergency alert system, which ensures timely notifications during emergencies. Though critical, only a small portion of citizens have enrolled so far. Signing up is quick and easy. Head to your city's website to register. Make sure all phones are registered to stay connected to the emergency system.
