🎄💚 Welcome to the Grinchiest Event of the Year! 💚🎄

The Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce is thrilled (and just a little grumpy) to announce our Fourth Annual Grinchmas Holiday Parade & Marching Band Contest on Thursday, December 11th!

So dust off your Santa hats—or your scowls—and prepare to let your inner Grinch shine. Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church (301 S. Broadway), and the parade—brimming with more holiday spirit than even the Grinch can handle—steps off promptly at 6:30 p.m.

🎅 Registration Reminder:
Pre-register your entry so our elves (and Grinch) can get you lined up with ease! Late entries will be accepted at lineup, but don’t make us pout about it.

📣 Important Grinchy Guidelines:

• No candy tossing from vehicles or floats! We don’t want any Whos getting bonked in Whoville (or Tecumseh). Instead, have some of Santa’s (or the Grinch’s) helpers walk alongside and hand out goodies safely.

• Bring the spirit of Grinchmas! Think green, grouchy, glittery, and grand! All holiday themes are welcome, from classic Christmas to creative chaos—but beware, there’s only one real Grinch, and he’s already RSVP’d.

🎁 After the Parade:
Join us for a Whoville Wonderland inside Tecumseh City Hall from 7:00–9:00 p.m. The Grinch himself will be there for FREE photos (he might even grin once or twice).
Sip on hot chocolate courtesy of the Chamber, grab dinner from local food trucks, and enjoy festive, family-friendly activities sure to make your heart grow three sizes.

In the true spirit of giving, we’ll be collecting new, unwrapped toys, stuffed animals, and blankets for local nonprofits. Even the Grinch can’t resist the joy of generosity!

🎭 Grinchmas Float Judging Criteria:
Our mysterious and mildly judgmental panel of judges will be on the lookout for the most festive, funny, and fantastically Grinchy floats!

Overall Appearance (0–25 Points)

• Does your float look straight out of Whoville?

• Does it spread cheer (or just the right amount of sneer)?

• Does it showcase Tecumseh’s holiday spirit?

Construction Quality (0–25 Points)

• Is your float sturdy enough to survive a Grinchy tantrum?

• Safe for all Whos on board?

Originality (0–15 Points)

• Is it unique enough to make the Grinch do a double take?

• Does it capture the Grinchmas theme in clever ways?

Extra Points (0–10 Points)

• Awarded for: moveable parts, clever gimmicks, interactive features, or next-level Grinchiness that screams “Merry Who-mas, Tecumseh!”

The time has come, the time is near — our 4th Annual Grinchmas & Whoville Celebration is almost here!

📅 Mark your calendars for Thursday, December 11th, when Tecumseh City Hall will once again transform into a Whoville wonderland! From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., come one, come all, for FREE photos with the Grinch (just don’t let him near your roast beast!).

☕ Warm your Who-hearts with Hot Chocolate served by the Chamber, and follow your nose to our Food Trucks nearby, offering delicious treats to make even the Grinch grin. Expect family-friendly fun, laughter, and a whole lot of Wholiday cheer—sure to make the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes before the night is done!

🎁 A Time for Giving:
We’re calling on our kind-hearted Whos to bring new, unwrapped toys, stuffed animals, or blankets to place beneath the Grinch’s tree. All donations will be delivered to local nonprofits to spread warmth and joy throughout our community this Christmas season.

By signing up on THIS FORM, you’re pledging to help bring Whoville to life! Host a 10x10 space (or larger—just let us know!) inside Tecumseh City Hall filled with festive fun and creativity.

We’re looking for businesses, organizations, churches, and clubs to host interactive Whoville booths that dazzle our little Whos with activities like:
🎨 Cookie decorating
🎄 Ornament crafting
💫 Ring toss or mini games
💚 Face painting or bracelet making
🎅 Storytime or sing-alongs

Your imagination is the only limit—so let your Whoville spirit soar higher than Mount Crumpit!
