The Ute Indians evolved from the early Paleo Americans of the ice age and never migrated from this region. The settlement of Colorado resulted in the Ute Indian lands being greatly reduced and many treaties broken. Hear the history of Native Americans in the development of Colorado from 1470s to 1880s. Dress warm and join us for this interesting period in the History of the Pikes Peak region. Meet at the Amphitheatre.

Local historian Veldean Myers will provide insights into the cemetery, its history and some of the residents who made up the human element of the gold rush. Join Us!
Full Moon Tour is held on one Saturday night a month!
Our Full Moon Feeding Tour is the Friday before and Sunday after our Full Moon Tours.

Our FULL MOON TOURS are always once a month on a Saturday night. These fill up quickly, so make your reservations early!
We start with complimentary seasonal beverages and sweets and then begin the tour. At the end of the tour it is now dusk and we hike up to Chinook's Nature Trail.
There you will hear the story of the birth of CWWC by Darlene, our founder and owner. As the moon rises, we do a group "Howl at the Moon" and we'll hear the wolves howl back. The gift shop will be open after the tour.

Our FULL MOON FEEDING TOURS are always the Friday before and Sunday after our regular Full Moon Tours. However, check our event calendar, as the FMFT may not be held in some winter months.
During the FULL MOON FEEDING TOUR you will meet our resident animals and observe them when they are most active...feeding time! Learn about hunting, howling and hierarchy from dedicated tour guides. 
Free snacks and beverages, plus a traditional group wolf howl will be performed at the end of the tour. 
The tour is approximately 1.5 hours. The gift shop will be open after the tour.

Hike all the trails at Mueller in 4 weeks and 12 sessions - complete over 60 miles and receive a prize to commemorate your achievement! These hikes are moderate to difficult. Please bring 2 liters of water, snacks, rain gear and layers. Ask at the Visitor Center for more details. 6.6 Miles Total. Meet at the Visitor Center.
