WeLead Academy is an 8-week (+ orientation & graduation) professional development program launching this September, tailored to support aspiring and existing entrepreneurs and rising executives (intrapreneurs) committed to personal, professional, and community transformation through leadership and civic engagement in our community, especially those from marginalized backgrounds. The course will be held mostly virtual over Zoom, with the potential for in-person meet-ups when appropriate.

The Academy aspires to accomplish two distinct goals in one program (small business entrepreneurship - new & existing - and executive advancement), with civic engagement and mentorship built in, that runs from Sep 11th to Nov 19th. WeLead Academy is designed for flexibility and inclusion. The cost to participate is $125 per person; scholarships are available for those in need. Please email WeLeadAcademy@wehosmallbusinessfoundation.org to inquire about available scholarships.

  • Tuesday, September 30: Class No 3 - Tech Powered Growth: Leveraging Technology and AI for Small Business
  • Thursday, October 9: Class No 4 - Branding That Connects: Marketing Your Business in a Digital World
  • Thursday, October 16: Class No 5 - Bridging Sectors: Effective Collaboration with & Leadership for Non-Profits
  • Thursday, October 23: Class No 6 - Scaling: Growth Strategies, Partnerships & Exit Options
  • Thursday, October 30: Class No 7 - Building Teams: Strengthening Leadership Skills
  • Thursday, November 6: Class No 8 - Unlocking Opportunities: Navigating Government Systems for Small   Business Success
  • Wednesday, November 19: Graduation (not part of the 8-week course)
WeLead Academy is a program of the West Hollywood Small Business Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the West Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and was developed in partnership led by Dubb Value Creation. This program was made possible by a generous grant from the City of West Hollywood.
