AHCC Welcomes "New Mexico Runners" Ribbon Cutting Celebration
Join the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and the AHCC Ambassador?s Committee, in welcoming ?New Mexico Runners? for their Ribbon Cutting Celebration at the Sunday game? 3001 Civic Center Cir NE - Rio Rancho, NM 87144 ? Sunday March 1st from 2:00pm ? 3:15pm with the actual ribbon cutting approx. 3:00pm.
About New Mexico Runners
The New Mexico Runners are New Mexico?s professional arena soccer team! They play at the Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho and are in the middle of their 2nd season.
The team is owned and operated by Andres Trujillo who is a native New Mexican born and raised in Albuquerque. Andres has been involved in local sports from his beginnings working for ESPN Radio 101.7 FM as a talk show host and Promotions Director. He invested in teams including the Albuquerque Sol soccer team and the New Mexico Stars professional arena football team. Andres is one of the original owners and is a co-founder of the 2 time indoor football champions the Duke City Gladiators.
He founded the New Mexico Runners arena soccer team in 2018 and the Runners play in the Major Arena Soccer League 2. The Runners feature local talented players that graduated from schools like Cleveland High School, Del Norte, Volcano Vista as well as the University of New Mexico.
The New Mexico Runners is New Mexico?s ONLY 100% Hispanic owned professional sports team!
The New Mexico Runners have been a member of the Hispano Chamber since early 2020 and we would like to request an official Hispano Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at our next home game on Sunday March 1st, 2020. Doors open at 2 PM for everyone and the kick off is scheduled for 3:15 PM.
The ribbon cutting will take place between 2:45-3:00 PM. Folks participating in the cutting need to be ready to go at the field by 2:30 PM. Please arrive by 2 PM so we can coordinate with everyone on the cutting.
Please provide a list of who will be participating in the cutting ceremony so that we can have tickets ready to go at will call or pre-delivered.
Chamber members that attend will receive discounted tickets at the box office with code ?Chamber? and receive $2 off their tickets.
