2018 Rend Lake Water Festival - Business Scavenger Hunt

Event Description

As part of National Small Business Week (April 29th - May 5th), we will be hosting a Business Scavenger Hunt in the Benton / West City community.  Explore our local businesses and learn more about what makes them so unique and special. On April 29th, the 'scavenger hunt check list' will be email to registrations.  Once completed, please drop off the filled-out form to the chamber office to be entered for great prizes from our chamber members.  Form deadline is May 7th.

RULES
  • You may not split up to “divide” scavenger hunt tasks or pay or bribe additional individuals to complete your tasks.
  • Individuals must be courteous and respectful to their fellow participants and all the outside people involved in the scavenger hunt.
  • No breaking any laws! Scavenger hunts are for having fun, but you must do so legally! If you break any laws during the duration of the scavenger hunt, your team will be disqualified. This includes (but is not limited to) – shoplifting, assault, trespassing, blackmail, bribery, forgery, perjury, fraud, etc.!
  • Always play fair. Don’t let your competitive instincts drive you to ruin other people’s chances to win, if you do – you’re team might be disqualified. This means no cheating, lying, stealing, sabotaging, or copying other people’s work. Sabotaging other teams will result in disqualification.
  • All challenges must be completed and pictures/videotaping scenes MUST be taken only during the duration of this specific scavenger hunt (challenges completed or photos/videotaping scenarios taken outside this time frame will be disqualified).
  • Spending money to fill out the list is not required. 
  • When driving around to locations, wear seat belts and follow rules of the road.
  • Cheaters never win. If anyone on your team cheats or breaks the scavenger hunt rules, the whole team gets disqualified. Remember – it’s just a game! Be kind and have fun :-)
  • Judges determinations after the scavenger hunt are final.
  • Visit businesses during their normal hours of operation.
