MEET THE SPEAKER:Nic Skovgaard
Nic Skovgaard is the founder of AlterEgo Marketing, a Herrin-based creative agency that’s helped hundreds of small businesses across the Midwest grow their brands, tell their stories, and embrace innovation without losing their roots.
A passionate believer in marketing as a force for good, Nic’s practical, people-first approach to digital strategy makes AI feel less like a threat and more like the sidekick every business owner needs. His TEDx talk on vertical video content helped put small business creators on the map. Now, he’s bringing that same accessible energy to AI—helping everyday entrepreneurs get more done with less stress.
Nic lives in Herrin with his wife Nancy and their four kids, has been named a “20 Under 40” leader, built a million-dollar business from his dining room table, and continues to mentor young entrepreneurs across Southern Illinois.
