The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce and Winneshiek County Development are kicking off the production of the 2019 Community Visitor Guide. We will be working with many local entities for content development, photography, printing and more. This publication will serve as our “go to” piece in the Visitor Center and our primary mailer to those inquiring on the area. Our average distribution for the current Visitor Guide is 1,300 guides per month. In order to keep up with in-house demand and regional distribution 30,000 copies will be printed with an estimated 18-month lifecycle.
We don’t want this to be just any guidebook! This publication will be a hybrid of the “Community Reference Guide” and the “Winneshiek County Visitor Guide.” We will work to make the guide interactive, informational, a bit practical, and full of fun. This will be our first opportunity to roll out the new Destination Brand for the Decorah area. Be sure to watch for the public unveiling of the brand in August.
