Arizona’s New Water Policy Landscape: Sustainable Water Solutions and How they Impact Businesses and Communities 

Arizona is in the process of ratifying a new Drought Contingency Plan that will impact water policy for the state’s foreseeable future. In addition to other water policies being discussed at the state house and by regulating agencies, the new plan will play a role in how well Arizona is positioned for future growth and a healthy business environment. 

Speakers will also highlight how the drought is impacting business operations and financial performance. Attendees will also learn how companies are leveraging technologies, partnerships, and innovation to reduce impacts, mitigate risks, and protect freshwater in the state of Arizona. 

Speakers: 
Lisa Atkins- Serves as the President of the Board for the Central Arizona Project (Central Arizona Water Conservation District). In 2015 she was appointed to lead the Arizona State Land Department as its commissioner by Gov. Ducey. Former VP of Gov. Affairs for Greater Phoenix Leadership. 

Rory Van Pouke- Water Policy Expert, General Manager at Apache Sun Golf Club in San Tan Valley. President of the Cactus and Pine Golf Course Superintendent. Assoc. Recognized in 2017 with the Excellence in Government Affairs Award by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America.
