The Chamber's goal is to foster meaningful discussions on diversity and inclusivity, as a priority in business and community. Courageous conversations to feed our fundamental need to belong; from our place of business to our place of residence.
LEARN HOW TO:
• Target new hiring to reflect the customer demographics (especially in international markets, this could include age, origin, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation)
• Hire someone who comes from poverty with varied economic backgrounds with potential challenges that the employers need to consider
• Promote company resource groups based on age, origin, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation
• Encourage employees to put forth their ideas for new products to be considered by upper management
Personal Item Drive sponsored by Anthony Wayne Regional's Partner Chamber:
"Holland-Springfield Chamber of Commerce Clean up For Cherry Street "
As part of our 2017 Year of Giving, we will be collecting items for Cherry Street Mission at the February 23rd, Partnership Lunch Symposium.
Please consider bringing a donation of one or more of the following items:
Men's/Women's Deodorant
Towels
Wash clothes
There will be a collection bin near the meeting entrance for your items. If you prefer, you may also make a cash donation.
Homelessness and poverty impacts many communities. "Cherry Street has served individuals who are homeless and poor in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year–since 1947."
Thank you for supporting the community in which we work and live!
