Born in Seoul, South Korea, Kathy Cho's journey to becoming a PGA and LPGA Class A Professional is nothing short of inspiring. Arriving in Pasadena, California, in 1979, Kathy's initial exposure to golf was on a small, 20-yard indoor range at the Western Golf College & Driving Range. Starting with a set of blue Lynx golf clubs and a pink golf bag, Kathy's dedication and hard work transformed her from a casual player to Brookside Golf Course's E.O. Nay Course Club Champion three times.
Undeterred by skeptics, Kathy pursued her dream of becoming a PGA teaching professional. Overcoming challenges, including the Playing Ability Test, she emerged triumphant, achieving Class A status in both PGA and LPGA. Since 2003, Kathy has shared her love and knowledge of the game with children and adults alike. Specializing in teaching children, Kathy emphasizes the joy of hitting the ball and encourages organic golf during playing lessons. Kathy Cho Golf Academy is not just about instruction; it's about fostering a love for golf and creating a community of dedicated players.
