About Us

The Minidoka County Foundation was established to inspire local giving to a foundation that will make grants in support of recreation, health, education and business in Minidoka County.

The foundation currently has two funds. The Legacy Fund is an endowment fund for the awarding of grants for generations to come off of the earnings on the principal amount in the fund each year. As that principal grows over time, the amount of available funding for grants will increase. The second fund is the NOW Fund which is a non endowment fund with the all donations that come into it going out in grants the following year. 

Grants are awarded by a seven (7) member board. Four (4) government entities, (Minidoka County Commissioners, the cities of Paul, Heyburn, and Rupert) each nominate one board member and there are 3 at large members.
