The Sylvester Worth County Chamber of Commerce held its 5th Annual Board retreat on January 10, 2020 at the Worth County Board of Education. The Retreat was facilitated by 2019 Chair Gina Connell, Director of Worth County Health Department, 2019 Vice-Chair Jay Crowe, Jay Crowe Attorney at Law, 2019 Secretary Sarah McCrary, 2019 Treasurer Debbie Bridges Sylvester, 2019 Past Chair Tony Bell, Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, Inc., 2020 Incoming Treasurer Sherry Curry, Renasant Bank, and President/CEO Karen M. Rackley. The Retreat was well attended by over 24 of our 2020 Board of Directors and Ambassadors. We are looking forward to putting some of the brainstorming ideas into action and setting our 2020 Program of Work. This year the retreat was held at the Worth County Board of Education.
We would like to thank the Worth County Board of Education for the use of the facility, Ed's Restaurant for lunch and our Sylvester-Worth County Chamber Staff, Courtney Hood, Trinity Archer and Jaki Johnson for their assistance with the organization of the retreat.
Your Incoming Board of Directors and Ambassadors will be inducted and introduced at the 2020 Sylvester Worth County Chamber of Commerce 38th Annual Dinner. If you see them please thank them for their commitment to their community. We are looking forward to a great 2020!

2020 Board of Director's Meeting
The Sylvester-Worth County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors held the first meeting of 2020. The committee would like to welcome all new Directors and Ambassadors. The outgoing Chair, Gina Connell will become the 35th Past President and we welcome incoming Chair, Jay Crowe. Gina Connell and the committee would like to thank Past President, Tony Bell for his service on the committee and in the community.
Leigh Wiley gave a presentation on the upcoming Census count and the importance of being counted in 2020. Each committee chair gave a report on current and upcoming events and encouraged participation. Lunch was provided by Huff's Chicken Coop.
Worth County High School College/Career Fair
Worth County High School (WCHS) invites you to participate in our 13th annual College/Career Fair to be held Friday, February 28, 2020 in the WCHS Gymnasium from 9:00am to 11:45am. Your support and expertise will help our students have a better understanding of their career goals. We ask you that you provide a table cloth, a display, and pamphlets/brochures for our students to review. *Booth set up time: 7:30-8:30am *Student participation: 9:00am-11:45am Please complete and return the attached information sheet by Friday, February 7, 2020 to assist us with logistics and ensure that we meet your accommodations. We ask that you please have your booth set up no later than 8:30am to allow all of our 11th (174) & 12th (188) grade students the opportunity to collect information from your organization. This event has grown tremendously and we thank you for making it such a great success. We look forward to seeing you! A hospitality room will be available for your enjoyment.
