About Citrus Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce
The Citrus Heights Regional Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1958 by a group of visionary businessmen. Since those early days the Chamber has grown into a major non-profit business association that addresses the needs of the business community. Prior to 1997, Citrus Heights was unincorporated. Chamber leaders led the effort to bring cityhood to Citrus Heights during a long, 12-year battle with the County of Sacramento. In November 1996, the Citrus Heights residents finally voted on the issue, and cityhood passed by a nearly 2/3 majority.
The Chamber of Commerce has four major areas of focus- Economic Development, Membership Development, Government Issues, and Education. Each area is overseen by a vice president and is supported by one or more committees.
