D & L Distributing Major Sponsor of Momboosa

Thanks to long time Chamber Member, Randy Givens and D & L Distributing, the Momboosa Music Festival had its first festival sponsor.   Randy, a previous sponsor of the High Sierra Music Festival, reported being happy to have the opportunity to sponsor a local event.  The family atmosphere of the event and the potential advantages to the Lake Almanor area touched his community spirit and was a major reason our first music festival became a reality.

THANK YOU D & L DISTRIBUTING AND RANDY!

Honorary Mayor 2010

Breaking news from the campaign offices of Cloe the Closer.

Press Secretary Tim O'Brien reports that Cloe has tossed her paw into the ring for the 2010 Honorary Mayor race.

Cloe challenges David Price to enter the race and promises lively debates on important issues in animal rights and health care.

Cloe's campaign will contribute all proceeds to the Chester-Lake Almanor Chamber of Commerce Fireworks Fund.

Something's Changed!

The most frequent comment heard by returning visitors to Lake Almanor these past weeks:

This place feels alive. What's changed?

Our answer: The community has a renewed spirit!

Have you seen the painted buildings? The flowers blooming on Main Street? The new coffee house at the Peninsula Market? The freshly painted signs? The community sign at the Post Office?  The classic cars at the Coffee Station on Saturdays? The rennovated Collins Pine trail at the Park? Have you experience the awesome service at our restaurants?  The "Welcome" spirit from our merchants and services?

We are proud of our community and it shows.
