Peggy Crooks, Vice President & Relationship Manager at TD Bank and Patricia Simpson from Florida Small Business Development Center at Eastern Florida State College will speak at this hour-long session held at the Melbourne Regional Chamber. The discussion will focus on what a potential borrower should know and understanding the 5c's to credit. 

The public is welcome to attend this free event. Lunch will be provided by TD Bank.

Calling All Vets & Captains! September 6th

The Chamber's Veterans Resource Committee has joined with the City of Palm Bay and Bass Pro Shops to present the inaugural Stick Marsh Veterans Bass Challenge on Saturday, Sept. 6 at the famous Stick Marsh. There are still spots available for vets and boat captains to participate in the tournament. Afterwards, Bass Pro Shops will host an Awards BBQ, open to the public.

The Bass Challenge Starter Event -September 5th


Boogie Woogie Veterans Show With Company B
Accompanied by Swingtime Lite of the Melbourne Municipal Band

The Veterans celebration begins Friday, September 5th from 7 to 9PM at the Henegar Center for Performing Arts in Downtown Melbourne. Here, veterans and civilians will be transported back to the 1940's with Company B, the Andrews Sisters Musical Tribute Act.

Presented by the Melbourne Regional Chamber's Veteran Resource Committee with the City of Melbourne as proud host, this event is your chance to salute a veteran for his/her service. Tickets are $25 for the public and free for veterans. We are asking the public to purchase an extra ticket (or 2) so that a veteran of the armed forces may enjoy the show for free.

ELITE AIRWAYS SCHEDULES NON-STOP FLIGHTS BETWEEN MELBOURNE AND DULLES

Elite Airways announced today that tickets for its new scheduled non-stop flights between Melbourne, Fla., (MLB) and Washington Dulles (IAD), are now available at www.eliteairways.com. Elite announced the new service, sold through Branson Air Express and operated by Elite Airways LLC, earlier this month, and the new schedules, which will launch with round-trip, non-stop flights on Mondays and Thursdays, will begin Monday, September 8. Cost for an advance-purchase, one-way ticket on the flight between Melbourne and Washington will start at $199.
 
"We are looking forward to welcoming our first customers to our scheduled service," said John Pearsall, company president. "We anticipate interest in this service from both business and leisure travelers looking for convenient and affordable options."
 
Flight Schedule: Mondays and Thursdays
Depart Melbourne 7 a.m., arrive Dulles 9:10 a.m.
Depart Dulles 9:45 a.m., arrive Melbourne 11:50 a.m.
 
Elite Airways plans to add more destinations and scheduled flights to its service in the coming months.
