Brevard Zoo to Host Job Fair
Brevard Zoo is seeking motivated, hard-working individuals to attend a job fair on Monday, May 9. The organization has many part-time and seasonal positions available in its foodservice, adventure services and guest services departments as well as Treetop Trek.
Hopefuls should arrive at the Zoo’s Nyami Nyami River Lodge no later than 8:30 a.m. They will be asked to submit a resume, fill out an application and interview with a hiring manager. Those selected will be asked to consent to a background check and perform a drug screening later in the day. More information is available at www.brevardzoo.org/job-fair. Welsh Companies constructs insurance office in West Melbourne
Welsh Companies of Melbourne has been chosen by Roland and Michelle Shoff to construct the new Shoff Insurance building at 2350 Minton Road, West Melbourne. Construction will commence in May on a 6,000 square foot, “Florida Vernacular” style structure with hardiplank siding, standing seam metal roof and porches, designed by Dave Nagrodsky of DNA Architects.
This project is the most recent facility the Welsh Companies are constructing in Brevard County. Welsh Companies, formed in 2003, provides commercial construction and design/build services in the office, retail, medical, religious, warehousing and municipal sectors to the east central area of Florida.
CRAFTINGEDUCATION ACADEMY GRAND OPENING EVENT!
Empowering Youth Through Technology
CraftingEducation Academy announces the Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Event of their Suntree location on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5:00-7:00pm. 15-year old Slayde Kerner, CEO of CraftingEducation Academy said, “I’m looking forward to showing people how kids teach kids to create objects in MinecraftEdu that will empower their future through technology.”
The event welcomes businesses, parents, school administrators, community leaders and all people who are interested in empowering youth through technology to celebrate the Grand Opening. Kids teaching kids MinecraftEdu will be demonstrated along with 3-D printing. Information on the upcoming summer camp programs will be available and registrations will be accepted during the event. Slayde Kerner, CEO, will talk about what he sees as the future of education and he will be giving away one full scholarship to MinecraftEdu summer camp.
CraftingEducation Academy is located at 7025 N. Wickham Rd in Suntree.
