Our Uniformed and Plain Clothed Security Division consists of two sections, armed and unarmed. The Executive Protection Detail provides armed security services dedicated to protect any asset such as technology, executives, corporate facilities, family, or corporate events/parties, high risk employee terminations etc.. Mr. Darryl Biggs is the Founder and President of Threat Mitigation-Risk Control Group, an Arizona-licensed private investigation firm, and a Managing Partner of Red Variable Concepts. Both companies were conceptualized to deliver specialized consultancy services with its core competencies being security management, business continuity planning, executive protection, and the design and delivery of industry-specific training programs. Mr. Biggs commenced his professional career by enlisting in the U.S. Army where he served in a variety of domestic and international assignments from January 1986 to April 1994. Upon graduating from basic training and the U.S. Army Airborne (parachutist) course, his first assignment was service as an infantryman with the 8th Infantry Division, Aviation Battalion, Pathfinder Group at Finthen Army Airfield, Germany. During this tour, he graduated from the Pathfinder course. In October 1986, Mr. Biggs was assigned to F Co. 51st Infantry Long-Range Surveillance Unit (LRS) where he served as the S-3 (Air Operations) Assistant and a Senior Scout for the Rapid Deployment Force at Mount Schneeberg on the border of Bavaria and Czechoslovakia. During this tour, he was promoted to the grade of E-4 and graduated from the following ILLRP courses: Vehicle/Aircraft Recognition Course; Close Quarter Combat Course; Basic Patrol Course; and the Medical Course. From January 1988 to February 1990, Mr. Biggs was assigned to the 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division where he served as a Corporal/ Fire Team Leader and Sergeant/ Squad Leader. In December 1989, his unit was assembled at Pope Air Force Base, North Carolina to prepare for combat operations in Panama. Mr. Biggs participated in combat airborne operations in Panama during Operation Just Cause before deploying back to the United States in February 1990. In March 1990, Mr. Biggs attended assessment and selection for the Scout Sniper Platoon, was accepted, and subsequently assigned as an Assistant Team Leader. In August 1990, the unit was deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Shield where it conducted numerous combat reconnaissance missions along the Saudi Arabia border and inside Iraq during Operation Desert Storm. In April 1991, the unit was deployed back to the United States where Mr. Biggs was promoted to the grade of Staff Sergeant (E-6). During this tour, he graduated from the Primary Leadership Development Course; Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course; Ranger School; Long-Range Surveillance Leaders Course; Sniper School, Jumpmaster School, and the Combat Lifesaver Course. In June 1991, Mr. Biggs was assigned to the XVIII Airborne Corps Long-Range Surveillance Unit where he served in the Operations section and as one of the original members. He attended the Marine Corps Scout Swimmer Course and the Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape (SERE) Course. From April 1992 to July 1992, he served temporary duty assignment (TDY) on the Commanding General?s Special Security Detail. In July 1992, Mr. Biggs was vetted and selected to attend a 9-month training program for assignment to a specialized Human Intelligence/Reconnaissance Unit, within the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Upon graduation from the course, he was assigned to the United States Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. In 1993, he was deployed to Somalia on a 4-member team developed to conduct human intelligence and reconnaissance operations. In October 1993, Mr. Biggs was deployed back to Fort Bragg where he conducted numerous military operations until his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army in April 1994. From April 1994 until May 1997, Mr. Biggs was employed by Vance International as an Executive Protection Specialist. He provided executive protection services for clients up to heads of state-level, Fortune 500 executives, and also for clients of the entertainment and sports industry. While employed with Vance International, Mr. Biggs graduated from the Vance International Executive Protection Course; Vance International Tactical Security Operations Course; Bill Scott Racing Course (BSR); Scotti School; Executive Security Associates Course; and the H&K Tactical Medicine Course. From June 1997 to July 2000, Mr. Biggs was employed by the Arizona Department of Corrections as a correctional officer. He additionally served as a liaison sworn officer to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Intelligence Unit (G.I.T.E.M.) where he conducted several gang intelligence operations. While serving in this capacity, he graduated from the Basic and Advanced Gang Intelligence Courses; Arizona Department of Corrections Officers Course; Hostage Negotiators Course; and several other Department of Corrections and Department of Public Safety training programs. From July 2000 to December 2007, Mr. Biggs was employed by a Fortune 500 finance company in Phoenix, Arizona as a Risk Manager. In this role, he supervised a 40-person department that provided oversight of internal/external investigations, threat management unit, asset protection, collateral recovery, and executive protection of C-Suite executives. Upon founding Threat Mitigation-Risk Control Group in 2007, Mr. Biggs provided independent contractor services to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) and the U.S. Department of State (DOS) to deliver intelligence services and products in Africa. In 2011, he was providing services at the United Nations Building in Abuja, Nigeria when it was attacked by terrorists with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED). Mr. Biggs was injured during the attack and suffered a concussion. During recovery from his wounds, he contracted malaria and typhoid and was sent back to the United States to recover. In his role as the President and Managing Partner of two companies, Mr. Biggs has strived to continuously broaden his professional development through the attendance of several formal training programs, including the Select International-Protective Detail Specialist Course; Mira Costa College- Kidnap, Ransom, Extortion and Terrorism Course (KRET); Reid Technique- Interviewing and Interrogations Course; Chameleon Associates- Human Intelligence Course; Forward Observer- Area Intelligence Course, and other related formal training programs. Mr. Biggs is Arizona state-certified as a Private Investigator; Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) Instructor, and Hostage Negotiator. His membership and associations include: ?
