Camp Shield offers multiple services for women Veterans and their families that will allow them to have strong peer/community support to address susceptibility to suicide and homelessness, including providing the time and opportunity to build friendships and trusting relationships. Camp Shield also provides avenues for women Veterans and their families to heal through the knowledge, tools, and experiences they will receive, which will help them to achieve and maintain emotional strength, social unity, and physical perseverance.We connect Veterans to services and benefits through our referral systems, support wellness and suicide prevention efforts through our peer support groups and mentoring programs, reduce homelessness through our programs and services and support recreational and therapeutic activities through our workshops and retreats.
