Engage Speaker Series with 9/11 Survivor Ken Greene
9/19/2018
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Event Description
Our country came together as one nation following the events on September 11th. Come hear the riveting firsthand account of one survivor’s experience!

On September 11, 2001, Ken Greene was an Assistant Director of Aviation for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. He was in his World Trade Center office on the 65th floor of the north tower when the first aircraft struck twenty-five floors above. Ken and his team fled for their safety, and while in stairwell escaping the north tower, the south tower was also struck by an aircraft.

Ken stayed behind to assist with the evacuation, and during this timeframe the south tower collapsed, burying him and others in the debris. Fortunately, he was rescued by a fireman less than five minutes before the north tower collapsed. He will join us to tell his story, and recount and the events of the day.

Mr. Greene recently retired as the Chief Operating Officer of Denver International Airport. He joined the airport in 2009.
