Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit providing compassion, comfort and support to Mid-Willamette Valley residents facing a serious illness or difficult medical decisions. We help patients live out the rest of their lives on their own terms, among people who care. Founded as Benton Hospice Service in 1980, we are the recognized regional source for the continuum of end-of-life services. We built our reputation on a commitment to promote dignity, respect choices, ease suffering and honor the grieving process.
In addition to hospice and palliative care, Lumina offers a number of services to the community including Transitions, Powerful Tools for Caregivers, educational seminars, and support groups for caregivers. Lumina is also proud to partner with programs like We Honor Veterans, Pet Peace of Mind, and Music & Memory. Our volunteers play a vital role in the care Lumina provides by sharing their helping hands, listening ears, and warm hearts through sitting vigil with the actively dying, to sewing patriotic quilts for our Veteran patients, to providing pet therapy and pet care to patients.
