Our 2025 committee members worked through many ideas and options to bring us to our latest major announcement. As of January 2026, we are the ‘Corvallis Emerging Professionals'. We want to focus on casual networking and be welcoming to all Corvallis professionals regardless of age. Our audience aim is the new-to-career professionals who want to check out the Chamber’s networking groups and are trying to get their roots growing here in Corvallis. We want to lean into our community, look for opportunities to volunteer, highlight new businesses, be a resource to employees and employers, further our careers, grab a drink, and make new friends.
This month we will be hosted by Greenhouse Coffee + Plants! See you there

Taking the Sedentary out of your Desk Job

If you have aches, pains, fatigue, or simply can't do the things you want to do at work and in your personal life - this is the lunch and learn for you! Local PT and clinic owner, Dr. Dane Happeny brings real solutions for real desk workers, straight from his work to your lunch break. You'll leave with new strategies to apply starting right when you get back to work that day! Learn how to mix in some "movement snacks" and improve your flexibility, strength, and overall 6 Pillars of Health to help you feel your best at work, but also in your recreational and every day life.

Dr. Dane Happeny, PT, DPT, OCS, CF-L1

Clinic Operator, Physical Therapist
Healing Motion Physical Therapy - Corvallis

Dr. Dane Happeny is a Board Certified Orthopedic Physical Therapist and the Clinic Operator of Healing Motion Physical Therapy’s Corvallis location. Dane has been a PT in Corvallis since 2013 and holds dual orthopedic specialist certifications — through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (OCS) and the Institute of Clinical Excellence (CERT-Ortho), as well as his CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certification — and brings over a decade of hands-on experience helping move his patient to excel toward fitness and their own personal goals.

A proud Oregon State alum, Dane works with everyone from competitive athletes to everyday desk workers navigating the aches and pains that come with modern work life. He’s passionate about practical, evidence-based solutions that people can actually use — not just in the clinic, but in their every day life routines.  He preaches that “life’s an exercise” and “the best exercise is the one you do” and he works with each individual to best incorporate that in their lifestyle, and for their specific goals.

When he’s not in the clinic, Dane is a husband, dad of four, and an active member of the Corvallis community, which is exactly why topics like workplace health, sustainable movement, and moving individuals and our community toward fitness is his bread and butter and passion to promote.
