Take your welding skills to the next level in this hands-on, nine-hour course designed for students entering grades 7th-9th. Building on your previous experience, you will master advanced Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) techniques while working with aluminum. You will gain practical skills in precision welding, equipment setup and advanced safety protocols as you complete a project to take home. A mandatory safety orientation on the first day ensures you are prepared for this innovative camp.

Wednesday, July 8th, 9-10:30am is the virtual workshop Appreciative Inquiry: Doing More of What We Do Well, class #105763.

This course introduces leaders to Appreciative Inquiry as a strengths-based approach to leadership and organizational development. Rather than focusing on problems, participants learn how to identify what’s working, amplify success and drive positive change by building on existing strengths.

Saturday, July 11th at the Howard County Fairgrounds, Speedway Infield is the Cresco Tractor Pull.
Free admission. Registration begins at 9am with the Pull beginning at 10am.

Monday, June 8th is the Garden Q&A through Howard County Extension from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.

Join Iowa State University Extension and Outreach horticulture specialists and ask your gardening questions. Sessions are held monthly on Zoom.

Learn about prenatal care, labor and delivery, newborn care and breastfeeding.
No charge for parents delivering at RHSHC, $40 charge for those not delivering at RHSHC.

Join us Thursday, August 6th, 9am-4pm at NICC Cresco Center for Kids in the Kitchen: Junior Chef Camp, #106312.

Designed for kids entering grades 2-7, this camp experience places an emphasis on having fun in the kitchen. Kid-friendly tips, sanitation, safety and proper use of basic tools and equipment will be demonstrated. Your child will also learn measurements, how to read and follow recipes and to manage time. Working together, all participants will make simple, kid-approved recipes and, of course, sample the results.
Be ready to cook with your kid, because he or she will come home with several recipes to help prepare, plus a whole lot of enthusiasm! Lunch will be provided.
